New Year Baby and New Year Party Supplies

Every start of the New Year is a wonderful thing but for our family this year will be even more special. I am due with our first child on the first of the year. This has sparked quite a bit of excitement in the family as well as in our town – wondering if our daughter will be the first child born in the New Year in our area. As you can well imagine we are also planning quite a New Year’s celebration. I may go into labor early but I also may go late so we’re heading forward with our traditional New Year’s Eve plans which always include a gathering of friends and family in our home. If it winds up being the day we welcome our daughter into the world then as far as we’re concerned that’s just more reason to celebrate.
So needless to say that I have taken on the planning of our party with increased fervor. My husband thinks that it’s hilarious how enthusiastic I am about it and was shocked to discover that I was already buying New Year party supplies. I reminded him that this was all a part of nesting for the new mother and while it’s true that most mothers don’t include party supplies in their nesting, I was going to embrace this excitement and plan a party to remember.
