Christmas Party Antics

- Posted on December 30, 2009

The family Christmas party went very well, and all of our Christmas party supplies were a hit with our guests. I am still trying to wake up after a week of grueling schedules, and family interactions that, while fun, are still draining. We went to a Christmas Eve party at my wife’s grandmother’s house, followed by Church at 11pm (we didn’t get home till 2am). On Christmas morning, my wife and I woke up, ate a delicious, heart-healthy breakfast of Cinnebons, opened presents, and then the real Christmas excitement began. Since we already had our party supplies up, we didn’t have to worry about those details on Christmas morning, so the family visits began.

After the morning presents, we went to my parents house, followed by my wife’s father’s house. Luckily, both of those sets of family are within a 20 minute radius of our home. Around 1pm the rest of my wife’s mother came to our house to start cooking Christmas dinner. Christmas dinner was prime rib, and was just about ready when the rest of the family came for the Christmas day party around 4pm. Everyone loved all of our party decorations, and other Christmas party supplies and accessories. With a festive environment, everyone was able to get into the Christmas spirit in a matter of minutes, so that by the end of the night everyone went home content with their gifts, goodies, and family memories.

Needless to say it has been a long couple of days, filled with fun, family, and lots of party supplies that helped make our parties unforgettable. Now I am trying to gather together the motivation to get ready for the New Year party that is coming tomorrow. I have all of the New Year party supplies that I need, but I don’t have the strength or desire (at the moment) to get up and do it. We will have tons of people coming to the house that night, and it is tough to say if I’ll be able to make it through everything. Monday night a friend came from out of town and we watched movies until 4am, and we may go see a movie tonight as well. All of these late nights on top of New Year’s Eve tomorrow night will not farewell with my ability to stay awake. With sleep I can master the ability of consciousness, however, without sleep, I have little to no defenses against exhaustion. Hopefully you are able to get the sleep you need to make this New Year a time of excitement as you usher in a year brighter than anyone has ever seen. Sorry for not writing for a few day. Between family, everyday chores, and last minute Christmas shopping for the “full Christmas” that we will be having on New Year’s Day, it has been a crazy week. There is more to come in 2010.

New Year Party Supplies and Decorations

- Posted on December 23, 2009

Happy Wednesday…BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!! I am so excited for the Christmas party that is now only a two days away from us. We have the whole house set up for the party, and while my wife is finishing up some of the cooking (I’m not allowed in the kitchen after last year’s…well…let’s say that we found out the true value of a smoke detector), I am putting the finishing touches on the house with all of the Christmas party supplies that I got a few weeks back. We have window clings on nearly every window, one wall is sporting a stylish scene setter party decoration, and we have snowflake danglers hanging from the ceiling to create a winter wonderland environment. We have other details and decorations in the room, but those are the biggest eye catchers. While I am happy to have everything set up for our Christmas party, I cannot help but feel overwhelmed about the lack of time we have between Christmas and New Years to clean and re-decorate the house with all of our New Year party decorations and supplies that we got from partypro.

We are all ready for both of the parties, but when you have a month to prepare and decorate for one, and then you have 5 days to prepare for your second party, time can feel a little tight. Which holiday party is your favorite: Christmas or New Years? I love both, but I think I lean more heavily toward Christmas since it is such a fun time with family and friends. New Year parties can be fun too, but there is something about the trees, the gifts, and everything else, that makes Christmas simply amazing. Since I have finished preparing for the Christmas party, I am starting to go through all of my New Year party supplies to figure out what needs to be prepared, and trying to get an idea of where I want to put everything. Some things are rather randomly prepared, while others are meticulously planned for and prepared to make sure the room looks just right for the occasion.

I feel like there is so much to be done between now and when our party starts. My wife is overwhelmed by the stress of truffles, and other candies for which she is known, and is now expected to prepare for the festivities every year (though she does enjoy it, there is a level of stress). I need to make sure I have everything I need for my New Year party, but I will be back to tell you all about it very soon. Have fun, celebrate life, and have a very Merry Christmas.

New Year Parties Too Close To Christmas

- Posted on December 2, 2009

My wife and I love to see all of our friends and all of the people we love so that we can enter the New Year together in a massive celebration. It can, however, be stressful and draining, emotionally and financially, to celebrate a Christmas party and then pop into a New Year party in a matter of days (which really feels like hours). We start planning for Christmas, but almost immediately we need to start getting ready for the New Year party. Since our Christmas party supplies are all ordered, for the most part, and ready to go for our Christmas party, it is time to start prepping for our New Year party. Of course I could have ordered my New Year supplies with my Christmas accessories, but then everything gets confusing for me. I need that compartmentalized view of everything so I don’t start mixing up holidays at the last minute.

We start with all of the essentials when planning for our New Year party. When you go to a New Year party what do you always see? Confetti, horns, hats, and fun wearable party supplies of all shapes, sizes, and colors. While we get most of our plates and tableware in individual packages from the Green Warehouse, we usually get all of the stuff that everyone will want, in bulk. We get the big bags of confetti, along with a balloon drop or two, and hundreds of balloons so that we can have a completely amazing aesthetic experience as the clock strikes midnight and a gentle rain of confetti and balloons falls from the ceiling to add color to the entire room in a matter of minutes. While everything is falling from the ceiling we love to toast with champagne glasses; well, plastic champagne glasses. We get bulk catering glasses so everyone can get some champagne without having to worry about dropped and broken glasses throughout the night. Since we always get our New Year party supplies from Partypro, we figure that the party experts must have some good advise regarding how to use all of the party supplies that they offer, so we look through all of Partypro’s party ideas that range from decorating and accessorizing, to how to entertain our guests with ease.

While Christmas and New Year are pretty tightly packed together, Partypro always makes sure that we can afford to celebrate in style without having to worry about the budget. If you want to take advantage of Free Shipping you need to order soon. My wife and I love this site, and we have always been happy to call customer service to get help if there is anything that isn’t clear. Start taking a look today at all of the supplies they have to offer and start the New Year off right with New Year discount party supplies and other goodies that are available to everyday people like you and me at great prices.

Saving Money During the Christmas Party Prep

- Posted on November 30, 2009

While I am still waking up from my turkey induced coma I realize that Christmas is practically around the corner. Now, I know that there are still 26 days until the jolly man in red delivers all of my most desired treasures, but it is never too early to start getting ready. My wife and I already put up the general Christmas decorations in the house on Thanksgiving morning (despite a string of lights that started on fire: everything is fine), and now we need to start getting ready for the big Christmas party. As I said before, I can order all of my supplies in the middle of the Summer if I want, but like most people, while being a perfectionist, I am not unfamiliar with procrastination. Therefore, I am now trying to get everything ordered so I can take advantage of Free Shipping on my Christmas party supplies from the Green Warehouse. I started to put decorations and accessories in my cart on the day after Thanksgiving, but I need to make the final decisions and get the order placed. Partypro’s Free Shipping generally takes 7-10 business days to arrive after processing through the warehouse and being shipped, but I cannot tell you how many times I get the order only a few days after it has been placed. They only gurantee the time frame provided on their calendar at checkout, but it always has the ability to arrive earlier.

In addition to my Christmas party preparations, I also start getting ready for my wife and my New Year party. Our New Year party revolves more around friends and co-workers than family so it tends to be a little larger than our other parties. Unfortunately I cannot take advantage of Free Shipping for my New Year party supplies despite the size of the party. You are probably thinking, “Why not, you surely buy more than $50 worth of party supplies and you have more than enough time for delivery?” Well… I do spend over $50 but I get all of my New Year party supplies in bulk so I can get more for less. When you have to buy gifts, food, supplies, and everything in between you will want to buy in bulk. There is a minimum for the bulk warehouses, but unlike the other companies that make your spend $100’s before you can order, there are low minimums for everyday people like me. The Red and Bronze have must meet minimums, but if you need the supplies and you spend up to the minimum, there is no problem. Basically I love being able to get all of my New Year party decorations at wholesale prices. Without those prices I would never be able to celebrate life to the extent that I do.

I know that all of this talk about warehouses and getting ready for the holidays can feel overwhelming, but I guarantee you that if you just pace yourself and give the warehouses a chance they will save you more money that you can imagine. If you are having a tough time, or you want more details on a product you can contact them or talk to them through Twitter or on Facebook today. I have to go so I keep on track with my Christmas and New Year party planning, but I hope you have a great day and are able to have fun. Come visit again soon.

Day After Thanksgiving Madness…and Fun

- Posted on November 27, 2009

Our Thanksgiving party went off without a hitch, and it was a blast for the whole family. As I mentioned in the past, all of our party supplies got here in time, the food was delicious, and everyone arrived at our house safely; for what more could you ask? Today is the craziest shopping day of the year, Black Friday. The day of the year when your fellow man is your worst enemy as a stampede heads towards the electronics section of every major chain store. Not only to celebrate still being alive after the madness, but to eat some left-overs, we continue our Thanksgiving party into the afternoon for lunch and into the evening for dinner. This gets rid of left-overs while keeping the festive spirits high.

If I feel up to it today (i.e. the day after Thanksgiving in general, not just today) I will probably start looking through Partypro’s selection of Christmas party supplies to see what I want to use as the theme this year. Yesterday morning my wife and I decided to start the tradition of watching the parade while decorating for Christmas. It worked wonderfully, so I think that looking for this year’s Christmas party’s party supplies from the comfort of my home on the day after Thanksgiving will work out just right. I am not a fan of big crowds, so to be able to look online at all of the party decorations I need for my party, suits me fine.

Today is also a great day to get ready for our New Year party which will be a blast, let me tell you. Our home turns into a revolving door this time of year with family and friends coming over for parties. Luckily, with the amazing prices I find on New Year party supplies at partypro.com, I’m able to get all of the supplies I need while staying under budget to afford food and other party “extras”. The New Year is so wonderful. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve are probably the 3 best celebrations of the year; and I could not be more happy to be able to afford all of the party supplies I need for each of these parties so I can celebrate the wonderful holidays with family and friends. You should head over and find out if they have what you want to make your party amazing. Have a great day, and start your journey to amazing end of year celebrations today.

New Year Baby and New Year Party Supplies

- Posted on October 27, 2009

Filed under: Birthday Party Supplies, New Year Party Supplies, Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 1:58 pm

Every start of the New Year is a wonderful thing but for our family this year will be even more special. I am due with our first child on the first of the year. This has sparked quite a bit of excitement in the family as well as in our town – wondering if our daughter will be the first child born in the New Year in our area. As you can well imagine we are also planning quite a New Year’s celebration. I may go into labor early but I also may go late so we’re heading forward with our traditional New Year’s Eve plans which always include a gathering of friends and family in our home. If it winds up being the day we welcome our daughter into the world then as far as we’re concerned that’s just more reason to celebrate.

So needless to say that I have taken on the planning of our party with increased fervor. My husband thinks that it’s hilarious how enthusiastic I am about it and was shocked to discover that I was already buying New Year party supplies. I reminded him that this was all a part of nesting for the new mother and while it’s true that most mothers don’t include party supplies in their nesting, I was going to embrace this excitement and plan a party to remember.

If you’re wondering where I managed to find New Year party supplies in October let me tell you that I found the most amazing selection of everything from Halloween party supplies to New Year party supplies through a great website; it has all the discount party supplies you could possibly imagine all throughout the year. The prices are tremendous and the selection has pushed me into party planning high gear. If our daughter does arrive then I also have birthday party supplies on hand!

New Year Party Supplies

- Posted on October 8, 2009

Filed under: New Year Party Supplies, Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 6:44 pm

There’s nothing better than a New Year’s Eve party. It’s the perfect night to let everything go and have a great time with friends and family. Because it’s such a crazy night we don’t like to be on the road; there’s too many people drinking and getting behind the wheel. Instead, we throw a New Year’s Eve sleepover party every year. All of our friends come and crash at our house and we have drinks and food and a whole lot of fun.

We start to get ready for this annual party right around now because there’s a lot to pull together. We’re talking about a lot of people in our house and we need to think in terms of invitations and menus and New Year party supplies; all the things that go into making the night something that everyone will enjoy, remember, and look forward to next year.

The menu is my husband’s forte; he’s great at pulling food together for a crowd and he goes to great extremes to plan a lovely menu for that night that starts with appetizers and winds all the way through the evening – finally ending with omelets in the morning.

The New Year party supplies are all about me. It’s my job to find the party supplies that we’ll use for that year’s festivities; they need to be amazing and they need to be affordable. I have been able to find everything that I’m looking for online – on a great website that has discount party supplies for every occasion you could possibly imagine.

Once I’m online ordering my New Year party supplies it’s like the holiday season has already begun. I love our annual party and I love getting ready for it. When I’m ordering party supplies it’s like the party has already started in my home.

From Halloween to New Year’s Eve – Discount Party Supplies for All the Holidays

- Posted on October 6, 2009

Filed under: Discount Party Supplies, Halloween Party Supplies, New Year Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 7:04 pm

When it comes to discount shopping I am the queen of all deals. I can sniff out a bargain like no one else I know. This is most important when it comes to those things that I buy a lot of; important things like clothes and shoes! But I also have another passion – along with my love of all things apparel-related…party supplies. I am a sucker for party supplies, especially those products that are associated with the holidays. I throw huge parties every year for essentially every holiday you can imagine. It drives my husband crazy but I can’t help it; I love the planning and the decorating and the inviting and the gathering – all of it! Parties make holidays that much more special.

One thing that my husband did have a point on, however, was the cost. When we added up how much we spent on entertaining from year to year we were flabbergasted at the total. We had to do something or we were going to go broke throwing parties. On the other hand I couldn’t stand the thought of a Halloween without a pumpkin party, a Christmas without an eggnog gathering under the mistletoe, or a New Year’s Eve without all of those who I love so much around me. So we made a deal – sacrifice smaller gatherings for the bigger parties that I loved so much and find a way to cut corners on prices. That’s when I found the website devoted to all things party – the discount party supplies that would give me the ability to have all the parties I wanted but still keep my budget in check.

Through this website I could shop for everything from Halloween party supplies and Christmas party supplies to New Year party supplies and much, much more; sold at bulk, discount prices and shipped right to my door!

Ushering in the Fall with Party Supplies, Part II

- Posted on September 28, 2009

In the last post I talked about how my search for baby shower party supplies had changed the way in which I shopped for party supplies altogether. I had grown frustrated looking for baby shower party supplies that were unique and still affordable. There was a limited selection in each of the party supply stores and what I did find – that would even remotely work for what I was doing – was completely unaffordable. Looking online allowed me to find a website that specializes in discount party supplies of all kinds – from baby shower party supplies to holiday parties supplies throughout the year.

In one shopping experience I was completely and totally hooked; especially now, during the fall, when I start getting so excited about the upcoming holiday season. In the past I had always had to wait to shop for holiday party supplies until the stores were stocked with what I wanted. You couldn’t normally get New Year party supplies during Halloween; but online I can get whatever I want when I want it.

I did get the baby shower party supplies that I wanted. But I didn’t stop there. Now is the time that I get online and I order everything from Halloween party supplies to Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies. I can get all this and still get birthday party supplies and even luau party supplies – it’s all right here in a one-stop shopping source.

In addition to the amazing selection and the convenience of being able to shop from home and have everything delivered to me, online shopping at my discount party supply website means that I have access to prices that I could never find at any traditional party supply store. This is a great time of year and I celebrate it by getting ready for the holidays that I so very much love.

New Year Party Supplies Help Me Plan

- Posted on September 14, 2009

Filed under: New Year Party Supplies, Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 8:22 pm

This has not been the best year for me – as I’m sure it has not been for many people. In the span of one year I lost my job and my husband lost his job. By the summer we had to move simply because we couldn’t keep up with our enormous house payments. Of course, with the real estate market being what it is, we hardly made a profit on the house but we did manage to get into a smaller rental and we’re slowly but surely putting one foot in front of the other having both recently found new jobs.

I don’t know about anyone else but I’m sure looking forward to this calendar year being over. It’s not as if I’m pushing time away and I’m not saying that the turning of a calendar page is going to somehow miraculously restore order in my life, but it gives us a clean slate - a mark between one chapter and the next and I plan on seizing the opportunity to change my attitude and refocus my energies. Needless to say celebrating the New Year will be a pretty big deal in our house this year. We plan on throwing a huge party this year. To this end, we have already started stocking up on New Year party supplies. Where would we find such party supplies at this time of year? Online – that’s where!

Through the party supply website that I use faithfully I am always able to find discount party supplies for absolutely any holiday or event for which I am planning. They have all seasonal party supplies, no matter what the season; which means that here, with summer not even technically over, I have my New Year party supplies and I’m ready to go! I’m ready to throw a party we’ll always remember – so we can move on to the year ahead.
