Everyday it just amazes me how quickly the year is moving. It seems like yesterday I was shoveling the driveway the day after New Year, and now the 4th of July is coming up in a week or so. The 4th of July for me and my family is a time to have some fun, barbecue, and revel in thanks for being a part of a country that gives me the freedom that it does.

Let me just start by saying that I am not much of a sports guy. I played soccer, basketball, and baseball all through high school, but I do not have much will or stamina to sit through a game that is on T.V.. I do, however, have many friends that love sports and since I have a fairly large T.V. and the room for people to move around without being cramped, my house ends up being the landing ground for the big games.

We don’t have people over for games very often, but every once in a while we do.

If you are like most people…most geeky people like myself…you went to see Iron Man 2 at midnight. If you are even more like me…a super geek…you hosted an Iron Man 2 party before the showing. I can’t believe it has been so long since I graduated. My college graduation party was one of the first big celebrations I ever experienced that revolved around me. Well, the St. Patrick’s Day party I went to the other night was wonderful. My wife and I don’t really drink, but there was a lot of alcohol at the party, and all of my relatives had a blast. Wow, talk about seeing green! Everyone I see has at least a hint of green as they show off their Irish heritage (whether it is real or not).

My wife and I have had a great day today, and we are excited about the St. Patrick’s Day party we are going to tonight.
