Graduation Parties On The Way
- Posted on March 27, 2010
I can’t believe it has been so long since I graduated. My college graduation party was one of the first big celebrations I ever experienced that revolved around me. A graduation party can mean a lot to a young man or woman who is just finishing up college, or for any high school student that is about to walk a little deeper into the “real world”.
My graduation was fairly simple, a tableware pattern that had some decorations, a giant cake shaped like an open book with my pictures on the inside. My mom got that cake from Lovin Oven Cakery…and it was delicious. And, a lot of friends and family. Despite all of the graduation party supplies that you can get to make a party look nice, it is the friends and family that make the party a party.
I never saw the invitations, but I know there were many because of how many people came to the party. With graduation season drawing closer, you should start looking to snatch up graduation party supplies before they are all sold out. Try to get the bulk of the graduation pattern that you choose for the party so you don’t end up trying to pull together all of your supplies at the last minute. Luckily there are so many great patterns, and the colors are fairly standard, you can always compliment your themed supplies with generic, solid color tableware and decorations.
When a party is starting to get a little nerve-racking and you cannot find a certain item, turn on your brain and be creative. Your party will not be killed by a few solid color plates to accent your main theme. In the long run mixing some solid colors in with your main pattern may be financially beneficial to your party. Of course if you find a great deal on patterned decorations you should go for it, but solids can be cheaper on occasion.
Graduation party supplies move quickly, so start looking around for graduation and other party supplies that will make any graduate’s graduation party unforgettable.
