Christmas Party Antics

- Posted on December 30, 2009

The family Christmas party went very well, and all of our Christmas party supplies were a hit with our guests. I am still trying to wake up after a week of grueling schedules, and family interactions that, while fun, are still draining. We went to a Christmas Eve party at my wife’s grandmother’s house, followed by Church at 11pm (we didn’t get home till 2am). On Christmas morning, my wife and I woke up, ate a delicious, heart-healthy breakfast of Cinnebons, opened presents, and then the real Christmas excitement began. Since we already had our party supplies up, we didn’t have to worry about those details on Christmas morning, so the family visits began.

After the morning presents, we went to my parents house, followed by my wife’s father’s house. Luckily, both of those sets of family are within a 20 minute radius of our home. Around 1pm the rest of my wife’s mother came to our house to start cooking Christmas dinner. Christmas dinner was prime rib, and was just about ready when the rest of the family came for the Christmas day party around 4pm. Everyone loved all of our party decorations, and other Christmas party supplies and accessories. With a festive environment, everyone was able to get into the Christmas spirit in a matter of minutes, so that by the end of the night everyone went home content with their gifts, goodies, and family memories.

Needless to say it has been a long couple of days, filled with fun, family, and lots of party supplies that helped make our parties unforgettable. Now I am trying to gather together the motivation to get ready for the New Year party that is coming tomorrow. I have all of the New Year party supplies that I need, but I don’t have the strength or desire (at the moment) to get up and do it. We will have tons of people coming to the house that night, and it is tough to say if I’ll be able to make it through everything. Monday night a friend came from out of town and we watched movies until 4am, and we may go see a movie tonight as well. All of these late nights on top of New Year’s Eve tomorrow night will not farewell with my ability to stay awake. With sleep I can master the ability of consciousness, however, without sleep, I have little to no defenses against exhaustion. Hopefully you are able to get the sleep you need to make this New Year a time of excitement as you usher in a year brighter than anyone has ever seen. Sorry for not writing for a few day. Between family, everyday chores, and last minute Christmas shopping for the “full Christmas” that we will be having on New Year’s Day, it has been a crazy week. There is more to come in 2010.

New Year Party Supplies and Decorations

- Posted on December 23, 2009

Happy Wednesday…BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!! I am so excited for the Christmas party that is now only a two days away from us. We have the whole house set up for the party, and while my wife is finishing up some of the cooking (I’m not allowed in the kitchen after last year’s…well…let’s say that we found out the true value of a smoke detector), I am putting the finishing touches on the house with all of the Christmas party supplies that I got a few weeks back. We have window clings on nearly every window, one wall is sporting a stylish scene setter party decoration, and we have snowflake danglers hanging from the ceiling to create a winter wonderland environment. We have other details and decorations in the room, but those are the biggest eye catchers. While I am happy to have everything set up for our Christmas party, I cannot help but feel overwhelmed about the lack of time we have between Christmas and New Years to clean and re-decorate the house with all of our New Year party decorations and supplies that we got from partypro.

We are all ready for both of the parties, but when you have a month to prepare and decorate for one, and then you have 5 days to prepare for your second party, time can feel a little tight. Which holiday party is your favorite: Christmas or New Years? I love both, but I think I lean more heavily toward Christmas since it is such a fun time with family and friends. New Year parties can be fun too, but there is something about the trees, the gifts, and everything else, that makes Christmas simply amazing. Since I have finished preparing for the Christmas party, I am starting to go through all of my New Year party supplies to figure out what needs to be prepared, and trying to get an idea of where I want to put everything. Some things are rather randomly prepared, while others are meticulously planned for and prepared to make sure the room looks just right for the occasion.

I feel like there is so much to be done between now and when our party starts. My wife is overwhelmed by the stress of truffles, and other candies for which she is known, and is now expected to prepare for the festivities every year (though she does enjoy it, there is a level of stress). I need to make sure I have everything I need for my New Year party, but I will be back to tell you all about it very soon. Have fun, celebrate life, and have a very Merry Christmas.

A Good Christmas Party Idea for Next Year

- Posted on December 18, 2009

I was browsing today and found a post that Partypro wrote about a customer who was throwing a The Nightmare Before Christmas party, and I thought to myself, “Wow, that would be so fun!” (Those were my actual thoughts; I purposely remembered so I could record them here). I think it is a fun party idea that could make for a great Christmas party, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the idea once they post it online. They have such a large selection of Christmas and Halloween party supplies that it makes sense to mix them together to create a unique Christmas party. I wish I would have thought of this back during Halloween, or I would have totally used this idea then. I already have all of the Christmas party supplies I need for the party, and I already have the theme set, so I cannot change now, but maybe next year I can use this concept for Halloween or Christmas.

I cannot believe that Christmas is almost here, 6 Days 1 Hours 28 Minutes and 58 Seconds till Christmas…but whose counting? Why are you all looking at me? Anyway, I got all of my wife’s Christmas presents so we are all ready to go for the big day. This first Christmas as a married couple is not good for the wallet. We set present budgets for one another, but we broke those immediately. Luckily, we can handle going over the budget by “as much as we did” at the moment without a problem, but we need to be careful in the future. With Christmas on the way, that means our Christmas party is almost here, and my nieces first birthday party is just around the corner. I can’t wait for it all to come, so my wife and I can have fun with family and friends.

Head over to Partypro’s Google blog, or as they call it, the New Release Party Blog and checkout the article I was talking about at the beginning of this post. If you decide to use the idea, you need to place the order immediately to make sure you can get your supplies to you in time. If you are buying your party supplies from the Green Warehouse that shouldn’t be a problem since they handle those orders in the same location as the orders are received, but you will probably have to call about getting your bulk orders in time. Regardless, have a great Christmas and if you aren’t ready, start getting ready for a great time of celebrations with those you love.

Princess and the Frog Birthday Party

- Posted on December 16, 2009

My wife and I went and saw “The Princess and The Frog” the other night. The movie was amazing, and my niece could not have loved it more. We went and saw the movie, got popcorn, and everything else that is essential (and unhealthy) that there is to be had at the theater. From the animation to the story, everything was amazing. Since we saw the movie, my niece cannot stop talking about it…literally. Her birthday is coming up soon, so I decided, “why not have a The Princess and The Frog themed birthday party?”

I started the hunt, knowing that my budget was nil since Christmas was around the corner, but luckily I was able to find the party supplies at better than discount prices, and I was able to get Free Shipping on the order. We only got the tableware and a few accessories, but once you get the pinata, hats, and other fun supplies, you will find that it is not difficult to reach the $50 minimum for Free Shipping. I placed the order, and now it is only a matter of waiting.

The Christmas party is coming up next week, and then the New Year party, and then my niece’s birthday, and then…ahhh…a break. Not that I don’t love parties, but after practically 5 in a row it begins to drain you of life. Luckily, I didn’t have to pay for all of niece’s birthday party supplies, her parents helped; they just don’t like the whole online ordering concept. I have become a conduit of everything “party” for the entire family. I compared prices and was happy to discover that I got great prices on the The Princess and The Frog party supplies that I purchased. Plus, with the Free Shipping I was able to save even more. Those party supplies are also available in bulk, but since this is just a small, family get-together, I didn’t need to buy by the case as is the case with the holiday parties. Those Princess and the Frog party supplies are moving really fast, so you should place your order quick to make sure you have them in time for the big birthday party; or so you can make sure you can get them at all.

The First Christmas Party for Last Year’s Bundle of Joy

- Posted on December 11, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Party Supplies Pro @ 1:58 pm

My wife and I have a close friend who had a beautiful little girl last January which means this is her first Christmas. Our friend is bringing her little girl the the party, and it will be a little strange. Our Christmas party is usually fairly quite, full of mingling and good cheer, so I won’t have to make any adjustments as to how we conduct our selves during the party, but it will still be a little strange to have a baby baby at the annual Christmas party. In honor of our little guest we are having a mini first birthday party in the middle of our Christmas party. I know, I know; it isn’t her birthday yet, but some of our friend’s relatives are coming in from pretty good distances for this party, and we want to save our friend’s family a trip up here in January.

We ordered some adorable first birthday party supplies the other day, and I cannot wait for them to arrive. The supplies I ordered, while being adorable and perfect for the occasion (if I may say so myself), will fit in well with the Christmas party supplies that we ordered a couple of weeks ago. We will take a few minutes during the party to sing Happy Birthday, and eat cake, but then we will go back to the standard pizza, soda, and other treats that make a party a party. We did not have to buy the first birthday supplies in bulk since we only needed a pack or so, but we were able to surpass the $50 minimum to get Free Shipping. I am beginning to think that it is not possible to leave Partypro’s site without getting more than I need. They have so many cool party supplies I can barely wait to see what kinds of new party supplies they will be getting for the upcoming holidays.

But I digress. My wife and I could not be more happy to be able to host our friend’s child’s first birthday party during our Christmas party. Hopefully my wife and I will be able to celebrate a first birthday soon for a child of our own. Who knows. If you are going to throw a party this Christmas, or you want to get tips for parties in general, you should checkout the party ideas that are available at partypro.com. I look at those ideas all the time and I cannot tell you how helpful they are when you feel like you are at a dead end in your party preparations. Start ordering your party supplies today if you haven’t already, and get ready to have an exciting time this Christmas. Happy Holidays, come back to visit soon.

Party Supplies Shipped Quick

- Posted on December 9, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Party Supplies Pro @ 1:55 pm

It feels like forever since I last wrote, but I am still here. Trying to prepare for our Christmas party has still been draining me. My wife and I just found out that there will be about 10 additional people coming to the Christmas party; news that, as you can guess, can cause an instant heart attack. I had to get more Christmas party supplies for the table, stat! I called to see whether I would be able to get my order in time, and the rep told me that there would be no problem getting my order to me since orders are currently being shipped within one to two days. Of course there are busy times of year when that isn’t possible, but at the moment I will be able to get my party supplies before I can finish this blog post (practically). I have all of the decorations I need, and when I receive this order I will be able to rest assured that I am ready for the Christmas party.

I am so glad that I ordered my New Year party supplies when I did, because I found out that if you wait until December 24th to order you will have to use one of the air methods of shipping to get your order in time. Whoever decided that Christmas and the New Year should be kiddie corner to one another, was crazy. UPS and the postal service can barely keep up with the orders at this time of year. At least Partypro let’s you know your ordering limitations rather than having a too bad, so sad policy. After looking in one of the bulk warehouses at partypro.com, I think I will get a case or two of those really cool confetti bursts that come in different colors. I wasn’t sure at first, but now I know for sure that confetti in the air is the way to go for my New Year party, regardless of the agonizing cleanup afterward.

I started following partypro on twitter (@partyprochat) and it is so helpful. You can ask questions, or just go along for the party ride as they provide updates, let you know what is newly released, and much more. If you aren’t on Twitter, you can always follow partypro on Facebook. Start checking out all of the cool classic and new discount party supplies that they have to offer. Remember, if you are getting ready for your Christmas party and you want to take advantage of Green Warehouse Free Shipping, order your supplies as soon as you can to accommodate for processing time. The same goes for New Year parties. Have a great day and celebrate life every chance you can.

Getting Tired Before the Christmas Party

- Posted on December 4, 2009

Filed under: Christmas Party Supplies, Discount Party Supplies, Party Supplies — Party Supplies Pro @ 10:46 am

While I am so excited for the upcoming Christmas party, I feel like I could just go into hibernation for the next couple of weeks. Between preparations, work, family, and other exciting (and not so exciting) situations I am drained. I am just happy that while feeling physically and emotionally drained, I don’t have to fee the same way financially. Since I got all of my Christmas party supplies at wholesale and discount prices, I was able to go get some goodies for my wife for under the tree. I still have some party supplies and party decorations to put up around the house to prepare for all of the parties and for the Christmas season in general, but now that I am done shopping…for the party, so I can rest and relax for a couple of minutes.

My wife and I decided to get my dad a personalized mug this year to help him remember that he is the best dad in the world (well he is). Imagine my surprise when I found out that not only can I get all of my party supplies at Partypro, but I can also get personalized mugs and other keepsakes, along with high-end educational toys. I guess they just added the toys to the White Warehouse a couple of weeks ago in time for the Holidays. The toys aren’t sold in bulk, so I went and compared prices to see why I should buy them at Partypro compared to the manufacturer, and I realized that Partypro carries the toys at prices lower than the manufacturer sells them. It seems that Partypro keeps on getting closer and closer to being my one stop shop for every celebration. Not only will my dad love his mug, but my niece will love these toys.

If you haven’t looked through all of the warehouses yet and seen all of the features, opportunities, and prices Partypro has to offer, then you are really missing out on your parties.  It took me a few minutes to understand how their site was set up originally, but once I figured out how everything was organized I started my savings. My wife is calling me so I have to run, but go checkout Partypro today….If you are trying to get discount party supplies for a Christmas or New Year party, order as soon as possible, so you can avoid the rush and get Free Shipping. Have a great day.

New Year Parties Too Close To Christmas

- Posted on December 2, 2009

My wife and I love to see all of our friends and all of the people we love so that we can enter the New Year together in a massive celebration. It can, however, be stressful and draining, emotionally and financially, to celebrate a Christmas party and then pop into a New Year party in a matter of days (which really feels like hours). We start planning for Christmas, but almost immediately we need to start getting ready for the New Year party. Since our Christmas party supplies are all ordered, for the most part, and ready to go for our Christmas party, it is time to start prepping for our New Year party. Of course I could have ordered my New Year supplies with my Christmas accessories, but then everything gets confusing for me. I need that compartmentalized view of everything so I don’t start mixing up holidays at the last minute.

We start with all of the essentials when planning for our New Year party. When you go to a New Year party what do you always see? Confetti, horns, hats, and fun wearable party supplies of all shapes, sizes, and colors. While we get most of our plates and tableware in individual packages from the Green Warehouse, we usually get all of the stuff that everyone will want, in bulk. We get the big bags of confetti, along with a balloon drop or two, and hundreds of balloons so that we can have a completely amazing aesthetic experience as the clock strikes midnight and a gentle rain of confetti and balloons falls from the ceiling to add color to the entire room in a matter of minutes. While everything is falling from the ceiling we love to toast with champagne glasses; well, plastic champagne glasses. We get bulk catering glasses so everyone can get some champagne without having to worry about dropped and broken glasses throughout the night. Since we always get our New Year party supplies from Partypro, we figure that the party experts must have some good advise regarding how to use all of the party supplies that they offer, so we look through all of Partypro’s party ideas that range from decorating and accessorizing, to how to entertain our guests with ease.

While Christmas and New Year are pretty tightly packed together, Partypro always makes sure that we can afford to celebrate in style without having to worry about the budget. If you want to take advantage of Free Shipping you need to order soon. My wife and I love this site, and we have always been happy to call customer service to get help if there is anything that isn’t clear. Start taking a look today at all of the supplies they have to offer and start the New Year off right with New Year discount party supplies and other goodies that are available to everyday people like you and me at great prices.
