Patriotic Party Supplies Round Out Summer Theme

Summer is coming and with it a bevy of parties planned and hosted by me – our neighborhood party guru. I love a party more than anything else and I am constantly on the lookout for new and fun party themes to draw people in and give them another reason to celebrate. Life without a party is boring and I for one am not going to settle for boring.

Summer is my very favorite time of year to throw parties and we do everything from a Memorial Day party to a July 4th extravaganza (with impromptu barbecues thrown in between for good measure). To me the entirety of summer feels like the Fourth of July – it’s all a big celebration of this country and there’s nothing more American feeling than gathering together with friends and family over corn on the cob, hot dogs, and apple pie. That’s why all of the party supplies I buy for this season are patriotic in nature – they are able to go along with any of my summer party themes and my secret is that I buy them all at the same time online.

I found a website that specializes in discount party supplies and it is through them that I am able to find all the party supplies that I need for any given summer. The patriotic party supplies that they offer are fun, unique, and affordable; and the selection is way beyond anything I have ever seen – or hope to find – in the traditional party supply store in town.

This year I got my patriotic party supplies at the same time that I ordered graduation party supplies for my daughter’s graduation party. All in one shopping at great prices is the perfect way to start the summer party season and a terrific way for me to mind my budget.

Party Supplies for the Start to Summer

In our house there is nothing better than summer. This is because both my husband and I are teachers; and so, when school is out for our kids it is also out for us and we are able to spend the entire summer as a family - taking trips and enjoying relaxed days together. This is why we celebrate the beginning of summer so enthusiastically. Every year it has been our family tradition to throw a backyard luau as soon as school lets out for summer; and it is a party that our friends and family have come to look forward to year after year.

As the party has grown over time – with so many more people learning about it and wanting to be included – it has become an expensive gathering. I’ve had to become more creative in finding affordable solutions for throwing a party of this size – but without sacrificing all the fun that makes the party so special.

Party supplies have always been a huge financial nut to crack from year to year. The truth is that going to the neighborhood party supply store has only served to become an exercise in frustration, as they never have all of the party supplies that we need in one location. Further, the final bill is almost always way more than I wanted to spend and it’s getting worse by the year.

And so I was thrilled to find discount party supplies online through a website that specializes in party supplies of all kinds. I easily found all the luau party supplies that I needed to keep our party going in style and I was shocked by how much money I saved – and all by shopping conveniently from home!

Now our luau is as affordable as it is fun. And I always know where to turn for party supplies that are inexpensive and unique.

Party Supplies Can Be Affordable

Nothing aggravates me more than paying a lot of money for something that I know to be ridiculously overpriced; especially when you simply wind up having no choice in the matter. I had thrown a couple of parties in the last six months and invariably I was shocked to discover that I had actually spent more in party supplies than I had on food – on food!! That simply did not make any sense to me and I was so discouraged each and every time I would have to go out shopping for party supplies. The worst part was that I felt like I had no choice in what I was spending; I had the local party supply store at my disposal and that was about it. I live in a rural town and there is no such thing as party super stores. I was stuck with a lousy selection and prices that were through the roof. Or so I thought.

When I discovered freedom in shopping for party supplies is when I discovered Internet shopping. My connection to the “outside world” was growing largely dependent on the Internet where I could access all the products in the world without having to drive more than an hour to reach them. And that is where I found my resource for discount party supplies.

Through a website that completely specializes in party supplies I have access to a selection of party supplies that I had never thought possible; and the prices are right!!! I am a changed woman in terms of my attitude about shopping. No longer am I hesitant about throwing a party. In fact, my son’s graduation party is next month and the graduation party supplies that I picked up online are not only fun – they are super affordable and you can’t beat that combination!

Luau Party Supplies for our Fifth Graders, Part II

- Posted on May 23, 2009

Filed under: Luau Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 9:14 am

In the last post I talked about the upcoming party for our fifth graders who were soon to be celebrating the end of their elementary school career. One of the many traditions that have long accompanied this time of the year is the throwing of the fifth grade party by the parents. This is not a party that is school sanctioned; the fifth grade parents are responsible for all of the planning and for paying for the entire event. And so it was up to us – the planning committee – to make sure that the party was fun as well as affordable.

We had looked into renting a neighborhood swim club after hours and were planning on throwing a three hour evening luau party. We had most everything covered – the rental of the facility, the hiring of lifeguards for the kids that wanted to swim, the rental of games, the provision of music and food, and lots of fun extras.

Now, in order to make the party what it was meant to be we needed to find luau party supplies that would transform our pool into something that would delight our fifth graders and still keep the prices under control. Going online was the way to go and I found the best website right off the bat. I found a party supply website that had everything we could want for our party and at prices that would allow us to stay in the budget.

All of the luau party supplies that we wanted were on the site – and many more that I didn’t know existed. In one online order I was able to get all of the luau party supplies that we needed for our party and I was the hero of the planning committee! It’s going to be a great party!

Luau Party Supplies for our Fifth Graders, Part I

In just one short month my daughter will graduate from fifth grade, leaving elementary school and graduating on to middle school in September. This is a really bittersweet time. It’s so wonderful to see how much she has accomplished and to see her growing day by day. But it’s also sad to know that this is her last year in this safe little school with the children she has seen nearly every day since Kindergarten.

Of course us parents have gotten to know each other very well over the years – coming together to support school functions and involving ourselves in our kids’ school experience. The last thing that we will be doing for them as a group is throwing them a fifth grade party. This is not a school sponsored event but a party that is completely thrown by the parents of the fifth graders; and it’s become an outstanding tradition that fifth graders look forward to from September.

This year, the group of parents who are planning this party have looked for ways to make it a little bit different than years’ past. One of the things that we’re considering is renting out a local pool after hours and throwing a luau party, complete with swimming, food, and music.

The entire expense of this party is completely absorbed by the parents and so, of course, we have to keep it as affordable as possible. We’re all pitching in to bring food and fun games and snacks and one of the parents is going to provide DJ services free of charge for the party. Now it was up to us to find luau party supplies that would turn an ordinary neighborhood pool into a party our kids would never forget. Since I was charged with finding such party supplies I headed right online. More in the next post…

Finding Affordable Party Supplies- From Luau to Patriotic Party Supplies

I am all about saving money and when it comes to party supplies I always feel like I get the short end of the stick. For one, there never seems to be the selection that I need when I need it. I’ll go from party supply store to party supply store in my area and never find what I need in one place. It’s frustrating and winds up costing me much more money than it should.

I knew that shopping online was an option but I had never really put much stock in it. I was just too comfortable going online and I was afraid that I would spend more time going from site to site finding what I needed then actually shopping. At least with a traditional store I knew that when I drove there, I had arrived where I intended to go.

But with a birthday party only two weeks away and an impossible work schedule I was under the gun for finding birthday party supplies. I pushed my fears to the side and went online to find party supply websites that would work for me. Lo and behold I stumbled upon a party supply website that not only completely delivered in terms of the birthday party supplies that I was current searching for but had a selection that would keep me in discount party supplies for the entire year ahead.

I was so happy to have found such a great location for party supply shopping – everything that I could need in one location and all of the affordable products, no matter what the occasion. Not only did I get the birthday party supplies that I needed, I found luau party supplies to patriotic party supplies. I guess shopping online is not the scary experience that I anticipated; rather I can stay at home and still find the affordable, high quality party products that I need throughout the year.

Graduation Party Supplies for the Young and Not So Young, Part II

- Posted on May 13, 2009

In the last post I talked about the unique position of my family – to be looking at hosting two graduation parties in June; one for my son who was graduating high school and one for my little guy who was having his big “Kindergarten graduation.” Both events were big deals in our town and most certainly in our family and I wanted to do them both justice. Obviously, with six children and college tuition to soon consider, price was always an issue and I wanted to make sure that I could throw two great parties that were still within the budget that we had set. I had a lot of help set up when it came to making food for all of the people that we were inviting but I was really concerned about finding discount party supplies that would still hold up to my style standards.

I quickly found that I didn’t need to be worried. Online there was the best of all worlds – affordability and great selection. I found graduation party supplies that fit the bill for my older son’s high school graduation party and I found graduation party supplies that were perfect for my youngest son’s Kindergarten graduation bash.

In one fell swoop I was able to get all of the party supplies that I would need in the month to come and the quality and selection were great. Best of all, I didn’t feel like I had to sacrifice what I really wanted in terms of style to get the price that I needed to stay within my budget. Shopping online for discount party supplies gave me options that I didn’t know existed and has helped this busy mother get her money’s worth and then some. I also know that I have a trusted source to turn to when looking for all of my party supplies in the future!

Graduation Party Supplies for the Young and Not So Young, Part I

- Posted on May 11, 2009

So hosting a graduation party certainly has its challenges; there’s no doubt about that. So how about hosting two graduation parties – one for a high school graduate and one for a Kindergartener? That’s the situation my family is currently facing this late spring as the end of our older son’s high school education comes to an end and also marks the time during which our youngest son will leave Kindergarten and enter the elementary school in our town.

Obviously high school graduation is a big deal and we are so proud of our son who is attending college in the fall. And he will be the first of our children to leave home. We have six children who range from five to eighteen so we are lucky to be able to go through the many phases of our children’s lives over great spaces of time. We want to be sure we mark the big occasions appropriately.

In our town, Kindergarten graduation is as big of a deal as high school graduation. We have a separate Kindergarten program and the children who graduate from there enter the elementary school. We make quite an occasion out of the whole thing. So it just so happens that our oldest and youngest are celebrating these big occasions at the same time. Which means two parties and many details to coordinate - including party supplies.

I would have been overwhelmed planning even one party of this magnitude but two had me really sweating. I wondered, first and foremost, where I could find discount party supplies that would be appropriate for both of my children. But I didn’t have to worry; I found graduation party supplies online – where the deals were incredible and the selection blew me away and made me put much more stock in online shopping. Last Minute Graduation Party Supplies

- Posted on May 4, 2009

Filed under: Graduation Party Supplies, Party Supplies, Party Supply — Party Supplies Editor @ 3:03 pm

College graduation, as many of us know, happens much earlier in the year than any other graduations. And so when I offered to throw my nephew’s college graduation party it was, in my head at least, an event that would take place in June or even July. My sister’s home didn’t have the room necessary to host as many people as they were planning to invite to the party and so I was happy to offer use of my home as I have a big backyard that could easily accommodate a number of party guests.

But imagine my surprise when just this past week it was brought to my attention (I’m sure not for the first time) that the graduation ceremony would be taking place in just two short weeks. I was absolutely panic-stricken. My sister, however, has already sent out invitations and I guess with my work schedule and all of the other things going on my life I had just been sort of out of it.

In addition to opening up my home I had said that I would take care of all of the party supplies. Now I was completely terrified that I would not be able to find graduation party supplies at this short notice. The party supply stores in my area had barebones in terms of stock and I wasn’t sure I could find everything I needed online without having to visit a variety of websites.

I, thankfully, was wrong. I found a great website right off the bat that had all of the party supplies I could ever want or need in one single location – no surfing, no scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of stock, no running from store to store. I found beautiful graduation party supplies at great prices and everything will be at my door this week. Once again, I was saved by the Internet!
