Party Supplies During a Hectic Time

- Posted on October 30, 2008

Ask any parent and they will readily agree that the present - and soon to come - weeks are among the most hectic of the entire year. Beginning with the back to school craziness and all that entails, followed by Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the holiday season, most of us are flat out running straight through New Year’s Day. Anything that can help make our day to day life easier – help us pull off the many things for which we are responsible or that which we simply love to do – we will surely take advantage of if it is presented to us.

Of course part of all these celebratory functions includes the decorating of our homes and the planning of parties – whether hosted in our homes or in our children’s schools. These activities, while a part of the holiday spirit and certainly enjoyable for all involved, can also be quite expensive; these party supplies add up until we are facing significant costs over time.

This is not a time during which most of us can afford to go above and beyond with our budget; not even when it comes to something as enjoyable as planning a party. Luckily, with the Internet on our side, we have access to a variety of discount party supplies that allow us to create amazing parties and outfit our homes for all the upcoming holidays – at prices we can afford.

Online party supply vendors offer extensive selections of party supplies – everything from birthday party supplies to Christmas party supplies, New Year party supplies, and even Valentines Day party supplies as we prepare for the upcoming holiday season.

Discount party supplies may only be a piece of the puzzle; but they are surely a step in the right direction in managing this crazy time of year. With online party supply vendors on our side we are able to find what we need at the prices we can afford.

Shamed into Updated Halloween Party Supplies

A little over a year ago, my husband and I relocated to Arizona. He was transferred there for work. I really like Arizona, I must say. I’ve always been a warm weather person and you definitely get lots of that here! Plus, the people are very nice. There’s only been one fly in the ointment, actually, since we’ve moved here. Thankfully, it’s something I can easily correct.

Basically, my decorations aren’t up to par for my development. I was told this by a group of my neighbors just the other day. I really had no idea what to say to them at first. I’ll admit I was taken aback, until they explained that they have had this conversation with almost every new family that has moved in. Of course, they could not force me to do anything, but they were asking that I try to make more of an effort. Just to be clear, they were extremely nice about the whole thing; there was nothing nasty or mean spirited in any way, shape or form about the exchange. The thing is, I had been thinking the same thing. I noticed over this past year how festive every house is for every holiday. But because of the economy our budget just isn’t big enough for much more than we already have. I’d like to go all out with my Halloween party supplies, Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies as much as the next person, but we simply can’t afford it. I relayed that sentiment to the group of women who approached me and they explained a way that I could.

Apparently, my entire neighborhood uses this online party supply resource that has some 60,000 party supplies available – all discount party supplies so you get much much more bang for your buck. I took a look at the site immediately after they left and let me tell you, they were not kidding. Not only do they have an enormous selection of Halloween party supplies, but they seem to have a party supply selection for every/any occasion you could think of – all sorts of themed birthday party supplies, plus things like “casino night” party supplies, “over the hill” party supplies and luau party supplies.

This year, my house is going to be the most festive on the block. To be honest, there is a part of me that has this “I’ll show you!” feeling about the whole thing. I wonder if they do that on purpose?

My First Halloween in my Own Home

Recently, my husband and I purchased our first home together. It is, after all, a buyer’s market and we are lucky enough to be in a financial position to take advantage of the situation. I am so excited by everything about our new home! – the location, the neighborhood, the amount of space, everything! It’s so nice after renting apartments for so long to finally have a place to call my own; where my walls do not meet anything but the air outside; no crazy neighbors banging on my walls, making crazy noises all night and into the morning. Right now, however, one of the things I’m most looking forward to is decorating for Halloween. I can’t wait to get all my Halloween party supplies up. I have so much more to buy this year now that I have to decorate a whole home and a front lawn! Actually, come to think of it, I’m going to be spending the next few months doing nothing but buying, putting up, and taking down party supplies! I’ll need Halloween party supplies, Thanksgiving party supplies, Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies, and somewhere in the middle of all that I’ll need birthday party supplies for my son who’s turning four.

It sounds like a lot, I know, but I have a secret weapon. It’s this awesome party supply website I found when I was in a desperate search for baby shower party supplies. I’m telling you, this site is the mother of all party supply resources – over 60,000 party supplies to choose from! And they are all discount party supplies, sold in bulk, or both. Basically, the selection is superb, the quality is great and the prices can’t be beat. What’s more? All this party supply purchasing can be done from the comfort of you very own home – no lines, no hassle, no none of that.

It’s going to be a great Halloween this year!

Master Procrastinator Seeking Halloween Party Supplies

- Posted on October 22, 2008

“Hi. My name is Audrey and I’m a master procrastinator.” Honestly, there should be a club for people like me. I am the worst when it comes to putting things off. And I’ve done it yet again this year. Even though I promised my kids that I wouldn’t. I’m a terrible mother. Let me backtrack and explain…

My kids, like all kids, are big into Halloween. Unfortunately for them, Halloweens always tend to be rather lame in my household. This is because as the master procrastinator, I leave it until last minute to buy Halloween party supplies and therefore I get stuck with slim pickings at all the local drug stores and party supply stores. These leftover supplies are none too good. There’s a reason they got left behind, you know what I mean? And it’s not just Halloween. I do the same thing with all the holidays. I always end up stuck with the junky looking Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies and Easter party supplies. The only ones I seem to do ok on are birthday party supplies because the good ones are available year round.

I am very grateful because I recently discovered something that’s going to fix my problem. Not my procrastination problem (I wish!) but my shoddy party supplies problem. It’s this really great party supply website that has over 60,000 party supplies available on it. Talk about selection! I looked at it just yesterday and there were tons of awesome Halloween party supplies available, even costumes. And the best part is, all the supplies are discount party supplies, so they won’t break the bank either. So, in the end it seems that while I still suffer from procrastination disorder, at least now my kids don’t have to suffer as well.

First Halloween

Filed under: Halloween Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 2:49 am

My fiancé and I recently became godparents to our best friends’ twin babies. They are fraternal twins – one boy, one girl – Anna and Nathan. This year is officially their first Halloween and, as godparents, we gifted them with their very first Halloween costumes. They are super cute! I found them on this really wonderful party supply website I got turned onto about a year ago. I needed Halloween party supplies for a school event my kids were a part of, but I didn’t want to spend an exorbitant amount of money on them. After all, I had my own Halloween party supplies to get, not to mention the upcoming Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies. The story goes, I was picking up my son from a friend’s birthday party and I was struck by the unique and spectacular decorations for this little boy’s birthday. I asked his mother where she had gotten all the birthday party supplies and she told me about this great party supply website that has over 60,000 party supplies to choose from. Later that same week, I checked out the website for myself and was bowled over by the selection available. To top it all off, all the supplies are either discount party supplies or sold in bulk, so you can’t beat the prices either. Ever since that fateful day, I have used this site for all my party supplies. I was even able to find great baby shower party supplies and games through this site.

Anyways, back to the costumes, which they also sell at great prices through this site. We went with a whole “cute bug” theme for the twins. We got Anna this adorable ladybug costume and we got Nathan this ridiculously cute buzzy bumblebee costume. I can’t wait to the see the costumes on them! The pictures are going to be priceless. Funny thing is, Anna and Nathan are really not going to have any idea what’s going on. Let’s face it, first Halloween, first Christmas, first birthday, etc., is all for the adult’s amusement.

Helpful Halloween Party Supplies

Filed under: Halloween Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 2:46 am

Yesterday, I received a thank you card from a neighbor of mine that nearly broke my heart. It definitely brought me to tears. The thank you card is a testament to how something so small in your own life can resound in such a large way in someone else’s.

A few weeks ago, I was catching up with my neighbor Susan during my morning jog. She is a neighbor I don’t often have a chance to talk to because she is always so busy. Both she and her husband work full time, as well as pick up extra work here and there. Plus, they have six kids to take care of – two of them theirs, the other four are actually her nieces and nephews. About a year ago, Susan’s sister died of cancer. She was very young and it was very tragic. She left her four kids to Susan to take care of. Those poor kids have had a rough time of it as you can imagine. They had lost their father to a car accident only a couple of years ago as well, so the pain and scarring they have had to endure as a family is enormous. Needless to say, it’s been a rough year for Susan, both emotionally and financially.

In the course of our conversation, Susan expressed to me how much she hoped to make this a special Halloween for her nieces and nephews. Apparently, her sister was a huge Halloween nut and made a big to-do of it every year for the kids. But with their financial situation being what it is, Susan wasn’t sure she and Ed could pull it off. I could tell it was really upsetting her. I was eager to do whatever I could to help, so I told her about this certain website I’ve been using this past year for all my party supplies – Halloween party supplies, birthday party supplies, etc. It’s a great site because not only is the selection enormous (over 60,000) but all the supplies are either discount party supplies or sold in bulk or both. Susan seemed very eager to check out the site, so I sent her a link to it the second I got home. A couple days later, I received this thank you card:

Dear Anne,

Thank you so much for your help the other day. I looked at the party supply website the same day you sent the link and as soon as I opened up the page(s) dedicated to Halloween party supplies, I began to cry. I cried because I was relieved and overjoyed. I so desperately want to give my nieces and nephews a Halloween like their mom gave them every year and I was so fearful that Ed and I just wouldn’t be able to pull it off for them. Thanks to you and this website, my new kids are going to experience a Halloween that honors their mother’s memory. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Sincerely,
Susan
PS I took a look at the Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies too. This is going to be a festive holiday season in our household. We need it to be, as I’m sure you understand. Thanks so much again.

Are you crying yet?

Halloween Party Supplies for the Non-Profit

Filed under: Halloween Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 2:43 am

I run a non-profit organization. Our mission is to help inner city kids in Philadelphia by providing them with a community center they can spend time in, as well as programs they can utilize at the community center, such as dance classes, tutorials, sports classes, etc. The whole idea is to keep them off the streets and enrich their lives in the process. For the past couple of years, we have had great success with our Halloween night event. We launched this event as a safe alternative for Halloween for our kids. They cannot go around trick or treating in their neighborhoods as other kids can in more suburban areas. It’s a bummer for kids to miss out on Halloween, so we started this event pretty early on.

Over the past few years, as our organization has grown, so has this event. I think it is our most popular event now. Thankfully, I am able to get all my Halloween party supplies for this event at a great price. I always use this wonderful party supply website that sells discount party supplies. Every single party supply is either discount, sold in bulk, or both. This is very important to a non-profit, as you can imagine. In fact, ever since I stumbled upon this site, I’ve been using it for all my party supply needs – birthday party supplies, Christmas party supplies, New Year party supplies, even baby shower party supplies.

Beyond the price, what truly makes this site fabulous is the selection. Over 60,000 party supplies to choose from! You can really get creative with each event/party. For instance, for Halloween they not only have “regular” party supplies like wall hangings and other spooky décor and tableware, but they also offer Halloween prize trophies and medals (for Best Costume and such), favors and party bags, and accessories like masks, make-up, and other fun stuff to wear. It is an absolutely awesome find for an organization like mine, as well as for the parents of the kids who come to my center. I don’t know what I’d do without it!

Halloween Party Poopers

- Posted on October 11, 2008

I live on the most boring block ever when it comes to Halloween. I moved here two years ago with my husband and two sons, Jacob and Gabriel. It is a great block to live on, otherwise – safe and relatively friendly. And my neighbors seem to get pretty festive with their Christmas and New Year’s decorations, but Halloween is definitely lacking. My boys are 5 and 7 respectively, so you can imagine it’s a bit of a bummer for them. That’s why I’ve decided that this year I’m going to go all out for Halloween. My hope is that it will shame my neighbors into stepping up.

The idea struck me when I was on this party supply website the other day looking for Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies. I used this site for the first time a few months back when I needed army themed party supplies for my son Gabriel’s birthday party. I was having a really hard time finding army party supplies until a friend of mine showed me this website that has over 60,000 party supplies. I should mention here that all the party supplies on this site are either discount party supplies or they’re sold in bulk or both. Anyway, I decided to check out the Halloween party supplies while I was at it and boy, was I impressed! The amount of Halloween party supplies to choose from was staggering, to say the least. That’s when I realized that I could really go all out this year without affecting my bottom line.

I got so much stuff, it’s insane. When the box came, I thought my husband was going to faint. He felt much better when I told him the price though. (That is until he realized he was going to be the one who had to put all those decorations up!) We just started putting up the new decorations this week. We are about halfway done and already the neighbors are complimenting me on how festive it all looks. They ain’t seen nothing yet!

Halloween Party Supplies For My Haunted House

- Posted on October 9, 2008

Filed under: Halloween Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 11:58 am

This year, I’ve decided to turn my house into a Haunted House for Halloween. We are a family that loves Halloween and we always go all out with it. What I’ve done in past years is buy a selection of Halloween party supplies from my local party supply store and mesh those together with the decorations I make myself – jack-o-lanterns and such. Plus, I put up lots of lights and cobwebs all over the front yard and inside the house. However, I recently made a discovery that will enable me to go even more over the top this year as well as do what I’ve always dreamed of doing: turn my regular ordinary home into a spooky, scary, Haunted House.

Several months ago, a friend of mine had a baby shower. The shower was hosted by the mother-to-be’s sister and it was centered around a tea party theme. I was so impressed with the tableware, games and decorations, I ended up asking the hostess where she had purchased them all. She informed me that she had purchased all her baby shower party supplies from one online party supply store that offers over 60,000 party supplies. I fully intended to check it out that day but I am, unfortunately, a master procrastinator, so I never did get around to it. Then, a few months later, I was picking my son up from a birthday party and once again, I was so impressed with the decorations (this party was a baseball themed party) I ended up asking the mother where she had gotten all her birthday party supplies. She, too, had purchased them from that one party supply website. She reiterated everything the baby shower hostess had relayed to me about the site, but she also gave me another fun fact. All the party supplies on this website are discount party supplies (or they’re sold in bulk or both).

Well, that afternoon when I arrived home, I jumped online right away to check it out. I didn’t want my terrible procrastination habit to get in the way again! I was floored when I saw the site. Talk about variety! Talk about low prices! I added the homepage to my favorites right away. And then I checked out the Halloween page. I felt like a kid in a candy store with all those Halloween party supplies to choose from! That’s when it struck me that FINALLY I would be able to do my Haunted House! This party supply website has everything I’ll need to create the scariest, spookiest Haunted House ever! I’m so excited; can you tell??!!

P.S. If any of you out there are not like me – the master procrastinator – you might want to get a head start and check out the Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies. They’re fabulous!

No More Same Old Halloween Party Supplies!

- Posted on October 7, 2008

Filed under: Halloween Party Supplies — Party Supplies Editor @ 5:05 pm

If you’re like me, you’re sick of the same old, generic Halloween party supplies you find in your local drug stores. Even your local party supply stores have those same old Halloween party supplies. Sure, their selection is marginally better, but they more often than not hit you below the belt with their prices. Ever since I really started “doing” Halloween after I became a mother, this issue has been a thorn in my side. I don’t have the budget for the party supply stores, but I get so bored with the stuff I find everywhere else. I can tell my kids are getting bored too. And even though I am venting about Halloween in particular at the moment, the same thing goes for other party supplies like Christmas party supplies and New Year party supplies, even birthday party supplies. In fact, let’s just say, “Party supplies full stop.” to use a “Bridget Jones’ Diary” phrase.

Last year at Halloween I vowed that I would save some extra money and enlarge my party supply budget the following year. I did not anticipate, however, rising gas prices, a recession, and job loss. As luck would have it, though, I managed to stumble upon a solution. A couple of months ago, I attended a baby shower for my cousin. It had sort of an old school, throwback, almost Victorian theme going, if that makes sense. Anyway, I was so impressed with the decorations and party supplies that I asked the hostess (my other cousin) where she had purchased them. She informed me that she had been able to get all her baby shower party supplies through this one online party supply store. Actually, she did more than inform me. She raved and raved about this website and told me she would email me the link, which she did. And then she said three magic words that sold me completely: discount party supplies. Apparently, all the party supplies sold on this site are either discount or sold in bulk or both. Music to my ears.

That night, I checked out the website. I was as impressed as she was. Talk about variety! They had over 60,000 party supplies – no same old supplies here! And the Halloween party supplies were truly fabulous and very inexpensive. So, it appears that even though I couldn’t keep my vow and save any money this year, the result I hoped for happened anyway. I can’t wait for Halloween.
